The quote is "I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun." It is my favorite quote from Pride and Prejudice - the book, not the movie. The whole quote is:
"I can fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look, or the words which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."
It starts slightly above my bra strap and goes down towards my lower back. It's not on my spine, but slightly off-center to the left.
Probably took about an hour and hurt like hell but I'm in love with it.

I'm looking to get another tattoo in the near future. Hopefully a winged serpent, like the Mayan/Aztec god Quetzalcoatl, along with two butterflies and the quote "You will find me in the next life, if not in this one." I want them on my back or possibly side but don't know how to incorporate them with my current tattoo if I get them on my back. Any ideas?
